If I washed my hair today, and dyed it tonight, what would happen?

When I dye my hair I notice the directions say not to wash your hair that day. And this time around I'm really impatient
I know I've done it before, I think the color will just fade faster. Is that all that happens or will it turn out bad?

Peter321 		Nothing bad will happen. In fact I washed my hair this morning and am going to the hairdressers tonight to get it dyed. Worst thing that could happen is the colour could fade faster.

Peter321 		It will fade a bit faster because it won't cling to your hair as well as if your hair was dirty. That only goes if you're using permanent dye. If it's semi, then you're fine. Otherwise, just wait a while.

Peter321 		nothing really but its better to dye first then wash your hair because of the dye and so your hair will be clean!!
